The honest pitch
What this actually does to your F-Type R / F-Pace SVR
The supercharged JLR V8 is one of the all-time great exhaust notes when it's allowed to make itself heard. The valve map on the late-spec cars takes most of that away.
Open Valve hands it back. Crackles, bangs, supercharger whine, all on a fob.

Long read
The Jaguar F-Type R / F-Pace SVR valve story
Jaguar's supercharged 5.0 AJ133 V8 is one of the great-sounding modern engines when allowed to breathe. The F-Type R, F-Type SVR and F-Pace SVR all run it, all with valved exhausts, all with valve programming that became more conservative in the late-spec cars.
Open Valve restores the launch-spec valve behaviour. The supercharger whine, the V8 bark on lift, the crackle-and-pop overrun all come back across every drive mode.
Two-module kit covers F-Type R/SVR and F-Pace SVR — same actuator type across the AJ133 range.

Jaguar F-Type R / F-Pace SVR — FAQ
F-Type R, F-Type SVR and F-Pace SVR all supported?+
Yes — same actuator hardware across all AJ133-powered Jaguars.
What about V6 F-Type?+
V6 F-Type S and R-Dynamic use a different actuator — separate module available.
Will it throw a warning light on the dash?+
No. The module sits in the signal path between the ECU and the actuator motor. The ECU sees a normal actuator response back, so there's nothing to flag. We've shipped thousands of these and not had a single check-engine call linked to the module itself.
Is it reversible?+
Yes, fully. Unplug the module, plug the OEM connectors back into each other, refit the trim — about three minutes' work. There's no permanent change to the car, no part cut, nothing in the ECU. Dealer service visits, MOT, sale to a new owner — pull it out and it's like it was never fitted.
Does it work with an aftermarket exhaust?+
If the aftermarket back-box retains the OEM-pattern valve actuators (most do — Akrapovic, Milltek, IPE, Capristo all run the factory motors), yes. If the system is a straight-through with no valves, there's nothing for the module to override.
Dealer diagnostics?+
Invisible to JLR SDD.
Convertible F-Type — same install?+
Yes — same actuator location.
