Why do I even need this if my car already has Sport mode?+

Sport, Race and Track modes open the valves inside narrow windows — usually at high RPM and full throttle. Below that, the ECU shuts the flaps back down to keep the cabin polite and the emissions test friendly. Open Valve removes that ceiling. The flaps stay open when you want them to, full stop.

Will it throw a warning light or fault code?+

No. The module talks the same language to the actuator that the ECU does, so the car never sees anything out of the ordinary. We've tested with every major manufacturer's diagnostic tool — VCDS, ISTA, XENTRY, PIWIS, IDS — and nothing flags.

Is it really plug-and-play?+

Yes. There is no wiring to cut, no soldering, no coding, no laptop. The module has a matching plug on each end that drops in between the OEM connector and the actuator. If your car has two valves, the kit ships with two modules.

I've got an aftermarket exhaust — Akrapovic, Milltek, Capristo. Will it still work?+

As long as your aftermarket exhaust kept the original valve actuator (or replaced it with a like-for-like unit), yes. Most do. If your back-box uses a totally different control method — for example a manual butterfly — you'll need a different solution; message us first if you're unsure.

Why doesn't the OFF button close the valves?+

Because in some driving conditions the ECU actively needs the valves open, and forcing them shut could damage the exhaust or upset the engine. So our OFF button hands control back to the car instead. It's the safer, smarter design and it's why we sleep at night.

Will it pass an MOT?+

With the remote off, your car is mechanically and electronically identical to factory. If you'd rather not have the module in line during the test, it unplugs in well under a minute. The product is sold for off-road and motorsport use.

Is it loud-loud, or just a bit louder?+

Honest answer: it sounds like full-throttle Sport+ all the time. Whatever your car does on the rev limiter in its loudest mode — that's now your default. On something like an AMG V8 or RS3, that's properly antisocial. On a Golf R, it's a noticeable but civilised step up.

Yes. UK is free shipping over £100. Worldwide tracked delivery is calculated at checkout. Most orders go out within 24 hours from our Manchester workshop.

What if I change my mind?+

30-day return window from delivery, no questions asked, as long as the module is in resaleable condition. We also offer a 2-year warranty against any electronic fault.
