The Audi S5 / S4 valve story
The B9 S5 has more soundtrack hiding in it than the dashboard ever lets you hear. The 3.0 TFSI single-turbo V6 is a sweet engine once it's allowed to breathe out — the valve map keeps the rear flap shut at part throttle and through most of the Comfort mode. Sport opens it for narrow bands at higher RPM.
Open Valve pins the flap open. The V6 then runs with the fuller midrange and the decel pop returns on every lift. Same kit covers B9 and B9.5 S4 saloon and S5 Coupé/Sportback.
Two-module kit on cars with dual actuators (most B9.5 S5), single module on earlier cars — pick the right variant at checkout.
Install — step by step

Boot floor up (saloon/sportback) or wheel-arch liner down (coupé).

Does it work on S4 saloon and S5 Coupé/Sportback?+
Yes — all B9/B9.5 variants share the actuator type.
What about the V6 TDI S4 / S5?+
Diesel S4/S5 uses different actuator — separate module, contact us.
Will it throw a warning light on the dash?+
No. The module sits in the signal path between the ECU and the actuator motor. The ECU sees a normal actuator response back, so there's nothing to flag. We've shipped thousands of these and not had a single check-engine call linked to the module itself.
Is it reversible?+
Yes, fully. Unplug the module, plug the OEM connectors back into each other, refit the trim — about three minutes' work. There's no permanent change to the car, no part cut, nothing in the ECU. Dealer service visits, MOT, sale to a new owner — pull it out and it's like it was never fitted.
Does it work with an aftermarket exhaust?+
If the aftermarket back-box retains the OEM-pattern valve actuators (most do — Akrapovic, Milltek, IPE, Capristo all run the factory motors), yes. If the system is a straight-through with no valves, there's nothing for the module to override.
Will quattro sport differential be affected?+
No — completely independent.
Does ODIS see anything?+
No — invisible.
